Sosiba's legacy comes full circle

Glencairn - The KAP sani2c is the world’s biggest mountain bike stage race, and while it continues to attract thousands every year, the event is as just as focussed on supporting the communities that it passes through, evidenced by Petro Sosiba's son Aphelele who is currently in Grade 1 at Lynford School where he has been on a sani2c bursary since grade RR.

Glencairn – With the 2018 KAP sani2c just under two months away, organisers have taken the decision to move the finish of the race from the Scottburgh Main Beach to the nearby Scottburgh Primary School to improve the logistics at the end of the trio of events, the first of which gets under way on 8 May.

Scottburgh - Despite starting with a hefty lead, the pairing of Philip Buys and Matthys Beukes had to fight back from crashing and technical problems in the slippery muddy conditions to claim the overall victory in the KAP sani2c at Scottburgh's main beach on Saturday afternoon, while the fancied team of Candice Lill and Vera Adrian staged a spectacular comeback to claim the women's spoils.
