Due to popular demand, KAP sani2c organisers have made it possible for riders to enter a new solo category for the 2020 events, though this is only available for the Trail and the Race, as the Adventure entries have sold out.
On the weekend of 21-23 February, join KAP sani2c founder ‘Farmer’ Glen Haw and the team for a weekend of riding and preparation for the race.
Entries are open for the 2020 KAP sani2c, the 16 year-old three day mountain bike stage race that has riders coming back each year to experience either the Trail, Adventure or Race version. Next year’s dates are 12-16 May and the route takes riders from Himeville near the base of the Sani Pass down to Scottburgh on the Kwa-Zulu Natal South Coast.
Young riders are entering the 2020 KAP sani2c, the iconic 3 day mountain bike stage race that takes place in KZN in May each year. At the 2019 event, a “Young Guns” category awarded prize money to the top men’s and women’s teams aged 19-23. In 2020 the prize money will extend to a second and third team prize for men and women, with a total purse of R 60k (R 15k for 1st, R 10k for second and R 5k for third).
2019 was the best year yet for the KAP sani2c with ideal conditions and a host of tweaks to the trails: “We made some solid improvements to the route this year and we are planning and working on next year’s surprises. Many new riders have signed up already and so far 28 riders who will become Mambas (riding for the tenth time) have confirmed their 2020 entries,” says ‘Farmer’ Glen Haw, Founder and Race Director.
