Jolivet – The 97 kilometre second stage of the KAP sani2c lived up to its billing of being the Queen Stage on Friday as PYGA Euro Steel’s Phil Buys and Matthys Beukes put the hammer down to take the men’s overall lead and stage win while Galileo Risk’s Theresa Ralph and Sarah Hill claimed a cracking end sprint in the ladies race.
Mackenzie Club – Stage one of the 2019 KAP sani2c dished up all the expected excitement as DSV Pro Cycling’s Arno du Toit and Gert Heyns won an end-sprint to take the stage honours ahead of PYGA Euro Steel’s Matthys Beukes and Phil Buys while dormakaba’s Sam Sanders and Robyn de Groot claimed ladies honours on Thursday.
Trevor Case from Magaliessig, and Murray Brown from Malanshof, are lifelong friends, having grown up on the same street. The pair are heading to Underberg to ride their tenth KAP sani2c together, which gains them “Black Mamba” status from the race organisers.
