Rider Info...

Dear sani2c riders

It is hard to believe that the planning for sani2c started nearly 20 years ago. This was in the days of front suspension only, caliper brakes, where V brakes were the new thing and a 3 by 7 drive train was the talk of the ride.

Over the years, the key to the success of our KAP sani2c, has been the support we have received from the many landowners, who not only happily allow us through their farms, but who often stop their farming operations so that we can ride through; and the communities, who not only open their hearts to us, but also spend many hours in planning meetings, travelling and pure hard work. This is not their day job and none of them do it for personal gain but in support of some essential community organization. Best of all, they do it with a smile! These are the people that make our events possible. To all the local people, farmers, their wives and their children, who support the event year after year in so many different ways, how do we thank you?

We live in the most amazing country with very special people. Like every country we have the trouble makers, and it is often so easy to take a dim view on South Africa. An event like sani2c, where communities welcome strangers into their areas, with friendly smiles and words of encouragement, just turns that perception onto its head. KAP sani2c, for us, reinforces how amazing South Africa is and what an awesome bunch of people we have who populate it.

My wish for these many people, is that their organizations grow from strength to strength and that events, like KAP sani2c, bring positive effect on their communities. I know for sure, by the response from our sponsors and partners, that it has a positive effect on them. KAP would not have signed until 2020 without all the wonderful South Africans who toil so hard for our KAP sani2c.

With grateful appreciation
Farmer Glen
