Himeville - When the 1500 riders set off for the start of the Adventure edition of the annual three day KAP sani2c mountain bike classic from Himeville to Scottburgh, the field will include a team of well-known rugby personalities, ranging from World Cup winners to bulky forwards with MTB track records that their mates are all too aware of.
Himeville - When the huge field of eager mountain bikers sets off for the start of the three–day KAP sani2c Adventure on Wednesday 9 May, the outing will be an important sentimental milestone for the Turton family of Underberg farmers.
Himeville – With 4500 riders set to take part in the 2018 KAP sani2c this year, 83 year-old Howick resident Arthur Duncan will be the oldest rider taking part in the three day event when he makes a return to the race after an eight year absence as he and his son-in-law Stuart Watson take on the Adventure from the Southern Drakensberg to the South Coast of KwaZulu-Natal.
Himeville – With less than a fortnight to go, Sue Atkinson’s dream to race the KAP sani2c mountain bike stage race that started by chance in Underberg in January is about to come true, ending a roller-coaster few months of nervous preparation for the sani2c debutant.
Himeville - Having finished fourth, third and second in the past three years, Samantha Sanders will be hoping that in 2018 she can shrug off her bridesmaid tag and win her first KAP sani2c title with Amy McDougall at the three day race from 10-12 May.
