2023 Absa Cape Epic champion Matt Beers has a solid history with the KAP sani2c three-day stage race in KwaZulu-Natal. He has been on the podium every year that he has taken part since 2017, though he missed the 2020 and 2022 editions. After a second place in 2017 with Tim Hammond (Ryder RED E Spot Africa), he won the 2018 edition with teammate Nico Bell (NAD Pro), then was second in 2019 with Stuart Marais (NAD Pro) and third in 2021 with Wessel Botha ({Type}Dev Nanotime).
On the weekend of 17-19 March, join KAP sani2c founder ‘Farmer’ Glen Haw and the team for a weekend of riding in the beautiful Southern Drakensberg based at Glencairn Farm.
It has been three weeks since the KAP sani2c nonstop took place, and with the legs having recovered, most of the riders who took part are ready to sign up to do it all over again at the 2023 edition!
5 June 2022, Scottburgh. The Brink Racing Team of David Low and Dean Worthmann won the KAP sani2c nonstop in 13 hours, 25 minutes and 10 seconds. They crossed the finish line less than a minute ahead of Team FRIB who had led the race up until a navigation error in the last few kilometres. Team FRIB was made up of Steven Holm, Jarrad van Zuydam, Rick Diesel and Darryl Irvine, finishing in 13:26:07.
The KAP sani2c nonstop mountain bike endurance event, set for 3-4 June 2022, will not be derailed by the further rains that have fallen since the successful 2022 KAP sani2c just over ten days ago. Founder of the sani2c, “Farmer’ Glen Haw, said yesterday that there had been some damage to the trails over the weekend but that everything was repairable before nonstop.
