The 2026 KAP sani2c opened with a sharp and decisive Prologue at Glencairn Farm, setting the tone ahead of the ‘OG’ race start tomorrow morning. At just 17.96km, the route packed in 1570m of climbing, rewarding explosive power and precision on a course that leaves little room for error.
The 2026 edition of the KAP sani2c kicks off tomorrow with a deep field of experienced and up-and-coming riders. With a large contingent of established stage race specialists, some new pairings may disrupt the expected race dynamic. At this point in the season, a key question is freshness versus race sharpness - many riders have competed across a host of disciplines and have solid racing experience, but some questions remain about residual fatigue.
KAP sani2c fans enjoyed ‘Farmer Glen on tour’ updates during the ABSA Cape Epic as he shared behind the scenes video while crewing his daughter Bianca Haw and her sani2c Efficient Infiniti teammate Sam Sanders. The pair secured the African Jersey and 6th place overall in the women’s race. The sani2c founder, Haw family and sani2c community are now busy with the finishing touches for the 22nd edition of KAP sani2c, hosting 1000 participants per event for three days of unforgettable riding: KAP sani2c Adventure (6-8 May) and the ‘OG’ (7-9 May).
The safety of our landowners and the communities we pass through remains our top priority. We are working closely with all landowners and key stakeholders to manage the Foot and Mouth Disease situation responsibly and with care.
“It's hard to sum up an experience like this. For most people, just finishing sani2c is a feat. So to do it all in one day is a challenge with so many exciting moments. To ride that proper single track at night, with your light only metres in front to guide you, and the view of other lights ahead of you, is mesmerizing, and unique in all the best possible ways.” - Jess Wilkinson
