Imbuko ChemChamp A team’s Tristan Nortje and Marco Joubert showed why they podiumed at the ABSA Cape Epic, stamping their authority on Stage 1 of the KAP sani2c ‘OG’ in a time of 02:59:46. Bianca Haw and Danielle Du Toit had another strong day for Safari Essence Titan Racing, finishing in 03:42:59 and extending their overall lead to just over four minutes.
Wednesday 7 May, Glencairn Farm, Himeville – A fast and furious KAP sani2c ‘OG’ UCI Prologue played out over 18.7 kms of freshly cut trails in and around Glencairn Farm.
In 2024, KAP sani2c became a Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) Category 2 marathon stage race, and the 2025 KAP sani2c ‘OG’ has attracted a record number of UCI registered teams in the men’s and women’s elite races. This year is the 21st edition of the event that sits firmly on South African mountain bikers’ bucket lists.
KAP sani2c stands out as an iconic three day mountain bike stage race. Founder of the race Glen Haw is a dairy farmer from Ixopo in KwaZulu-Natal, known affectionately as Farmer Glen by returning sani2c riders.
